MATCHDAY GRAPHICS

MATCHDAY GRAPHICS

In the summer of '24, while working full-time at a marketing agency, I also squeezed in time to create matchday graphics for my favorite football club. Mostly, it was a way to keep my Photoshop skills sharp. But here’s the fun part: some of the edits actually got noticed and liked by the players themselves. Not that I’m bragging or anything... okay, maybe just a little.

I wanted each edit to stand out, so I gave them their own unique design, though I sometimes borrowed a few elements from previous ones (because, let’s be real, efficiency is key). Speed was also part of the game, not just because I had limited time, but because it was a great way to test my Photoshop skills under pressure. Despite the variety, one thing tied them all together: the recurring blue and black, the iconic team colors of Club Bruges.

The thing is, there’s not exactly a groundbreaking concept here. Matchday graphics are basically made to serve one purpose: get the players to repost them on their Instagram stories. That’s it. Forget deep storytelling or revolutionary design—it’s all about catching their eye just enough for them to tap “share.” But hey, who doesn’t love a challenge with such high stakes?
